Battle of Prinzapolka

We have been attacked by Danish. Just after New Year Danish clan (DNP), starts hostility missions against Prinzapolka. Together with another clan from British nation, we try to organize defense team. We got seven players with Wasa’s ready to break danish hostility missions. We step out of defense when we got intel on nation chat that danish come with 11 first rate ships at hostility mission.
The enemy flips the port unharmed and the battle was scheduled for next day (2018-01-03).

At 2018-01-03 we form nice port battle fleet lead by Felix included:
– 3 L’Ocean
– 1 Victory
– 1 Bucentaure
– 5 Wasa
– 1 Agamemnon
– 2 Rennomee
– 1 Surprise
10 of the ships comes from BCC clan. On top of it, we got screening fleet formed by another nation clans included 10 ships different class (mostly 4th rate).

We were bitten surprised by Danish fleet formation:
– 1 L’Ocean
– 8 Bucentaure
– 2 Wasa

Danish has more firepower than us but we had more 1st rate ships. This makes a battle more tactical then everybody expects.

Our fleet jump to the battle from port and start heading to the North circle quickly using good wind blowing from 8th o’clock
Danish fleet pushed by screeners enter the battle far Nort-East from the port perspective. Wind direction didn’t allow them to sail straight to the North circle so they decided to sail West.
Our small ship captured quickly Central and South circle while the main fleet captured North circle. Just after that entire fleet turns West as well to cut off Danish fleet from approaching port.
Both sites shot sails and masts but with little effects.
Danish commander decided to try to get through our line. Actually, he succeeds. One of Danish Bucentaure ram our first in line L’Ocean and slow him down what leads our line to collide. Like 4 of our ships stuck on collision for few minutes. That allowed danish to captured one Wasa and sunk Bucentaure within 5 minutes before our fleet was back in order.
Anyhow, the battle was already won by us by points so as soon as we get 1000 point our fleet left the battle.
